Soil-Away Attends Applied Structural Drying (ASD) School

This summer Soil-Away sent two operations managers, Tommy and Cam, to Philadelphia, PA to attend Applied Structural Drying (ASD) school. This advanced course is a three-day, hands-on water damage restoration experience that culminates with a certification exam. During the course a house is flooded so that attendees can experiment with different drying techniques and approaches. Applied Structural Drying school is designed for experienced water damage restoration technicians who have years’ experience in the industry and are already IICRC Water Damage (WRT) certified.

Team Acknowledges Owner for 25 Years!

The 20+ full time employees at Soil-Away recently honored company founder and president, Jack Solloway, at the year-end meeting in December. Senior technician, David Buck, presented Jack with a gift from the entire staff in recognition for 25 years in the cleaning and restoration industry. The customized gift was a desk-clock with a plaque that reads, “25 Years of Leadership – Jack Solloway.”

Soil-Away Expands Air Duct Cleaning Business

Soil-Away has recently expanded their air duct cleaning operation. What started as a small part of their operation in 2012, has expanded into one of the company’s largest services. “We have doubled our air duct cleaning business year over year since we started it,” explains Soil-Away founder, Jack Solloway. “We applied our company emphasis on quality and value to duct cleaning and it has just boomed.”

Party at the Park

Soil-Away team members and their families recently gathered at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH. The event was part employee appreciation and part celebration. It was full-fun for all who participated. Between staff and family, nearly 50 people were in attendance (not all captured in picture) representing Soil-Away. The entire group enjoyed a catered BBQ lunch followed by a full day in the historic theme park.

25th Anniversary Logo on Fleet

This month Soil-Away has been working to update logos on its entire fleet. The company fleet comprises of several box trucks, cargo vans, trucks, cars and trailers. They are all getting outfitted with the celebratory 25th anniversary logo. The process is expected to take roughly one month as the vehicles are methodically rotated through the process.
“The 25th [anniversary] logo really stands out on the trucks,” explains business development manager Neil Mishkit.

Both Cleanfax and Restoration & Remediation (R&R) featured Soil-Away in their respective publications.  “It was a lot of fun to be acknowledged by our industry peers,” states company founder- Jack Solloway. “I am proud of what our team has been able to accomplish over the years.”

Soil-Away Welcomes Contents Restoration Manager

Recent expansion of Soil-Away’s contents restoration division has prompted the addition of a new management position. Soil-Away is excited to welcome Morgan Lawrence to the family. Morgan will be overseeing the contents restoration services the company provides to its clients. With the addition of the Esporta Soft-Contents Restoration process in 2014, work volume has increased significantly. This pushed Soil-Away to find a leader for the division of the company. “Morgan will help streamline our contents restoration operation,” explains company owner Jack Solloway. “She is a great addition to the team.”

IICRC Mold Remediation and Sewer Damage Cleanup Certified

Hooksett, NH – Two members of the Soil-Away team recently completed the IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (ARMT) training. The technicians spend four intense days in class studying mold and sewage remediation techniques. The procedures and practices learned during the course equip attendees to perform proper remediation services on mold and sewer damage jobs.
