Hooksett, NH – Two members of the Soil-Away team recently completed the IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (ARMT) training. The technicians spend four intense days in class studying mold and sewage remediation techniques. The procedures and practices learned during the course equip attendees to perform proper remediation services on mold and sewer damage jobs.
“We definitely learned a lot during the ARMT class,” stated Soil-Away lead technician, Tommy Sousa. “I have been in the cleaning and restoration industry for several years now and it is exciting to keep expanding my skills and abilities. What I learned over the course of the week is going to really improve my performance on mold remediation and sewer damage cleanup jobs. Ultimately, we are going to be able to better serve our clients.”
Mold remediation and sewer damage cleanup projects require a very high level of expertise. These jobs contain many challenges such as personal health risks and cross-contamination. Un-trained personnel should not take on these projects. Consumers must always vet potential contractors they are considering to hire for either mold remediation or sewer damage cleanup. Asking the right questions and confirming specific qualifications will help ensure a successful restoration project.
Soil-Away prides itself in maintaining the highest levels of industry specific education. Multiple projects managers and technicians have previously completed the IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (ARMT) course. In addition, Soil-Away is the only NH based firm that is an IICRC Master Certified Water Restorer, Fire and Smoke Restorer, and Textile Cleaner. These are the highest certification levels in the industry.
