To All Company Employees, Family Members, Clients and Stakeholders:

Thank you for all you do for the Soil-Away team. We are proud of our operation, especially considering the national state of emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our services are essential as they directly pertain to public safety. Know that Soil-Away leadership is doing everything in its power to ensure maximum safety for all stakeholders. Below are the latest updates to our enhanced operating protocols during this challenging time.

  • Personal
    • All employees are to follow the CDC guidelines on how to protect themselves and others (summary below)
      • Clean hands with soap and warm water often and don’t touch your face
      • Avoid close contact – social distancing
      • Stay home if sick – Check in with medical professional
      • Utilize PPE
      • Clean and disinfect
    • Clothing
      • Field employees are encouraged to bring additional clothing to work. Change and wear clean clothing home. Bring daily work clothes home in trash bag to go directly in laundry.
  • Facility and Interoffice
    • Non-Soil-Away personnel are NOT allowed to enter the building
    • Company is split into two congruent operations
      • Bay #23 – Mitigation teams
      • Bay #11 – Large loss and Rebuild
      • Both operations have fully functional office and field capabilities – No cross contamination between operations.
    • Technicians are not permitted in office spaces
    • Continuous daily cleaning of surfaces and touch points is taking place – This includes daily fogging with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
    • Meetings
      • Internal meetings are conducted by conference call
      • Unnecessary meetings with outside parties (networking, sales, non-jobsite visits) are suspended
    • Vehicles
      • Company vehicles are cleaned daily and disinfectant applied to touch points
      • Company disinfectants are made available to employees for personal vehicles driven to work.
  • Customers
    • All customers are pre-screened on the phones for any suspected or known viral cases
    • We are doing NO residential viral cleaning jobs at this time
    • We are requesting copies of any COVID-19 workplace policies from our commercial clients so we can abide by their standards in addition to ours.
    • Customers are asked to vacate worksite if possible when Soil-Away employees are on site.
  • Job Sites
    • Proper PPE to be worn always – available to all employees (field and office)
    • Any jobs directly related to COVID-19 cleaning services are VOLUNTARY.
    • Daily personal screening (verbal questions) being surveyed daily
      • Monitoring temperatures or any ailments
      • Any known exposures to virus?
      • How is mental state/moral of employee?
    • Jobsite risk assessment performed daily
      • Who has physically accessed the worksite besides Soil-Away personnel?
      • What cross-contamination risks are there?
      • Have we setup the necessary safety precautions?
      • Small group safety review with worksite personnel
  • Communication
    • Periodic emails from Jack to employees with updates, changes and encouragement.
    • Daily department meetings (Mit, Office, LL, Rebuild) to review safety measures above – Department directors are to hold their staff accountable.
    • Any suspected or confirmed viral cases are immediately escalated to management and addressed as a top priority
      • We have already had people self-quarantine
      • We have already had people get screened by medical professionals
      • There are no confirmed COVID-19 cases to date
    • Jack and Josh or monitoring the CDC and other resources daily to keep up with the latest information
  • Community
    • We are serving our community right now by treating the interior of first responder vehicles for free out of our Hooksett shop.
